एतद्‌ गृहस्थधर्म त्वं चेष्टमानो जनाधिप । इहलोके यश: प्राप्य प्रेत्य स्वर्गमवाप्स्पसि

Transliteration

etad gṛhasthadharma tvaṁ ceṣṭamāno janādhipa | ihaloke yaśaḥ prāpya pretya svargam avāpsyasi ||

Translation

Bhīṣma disse: “Se te esforçares por praticar este dharma do chefe de família, ó governante dos homens, obterás boa fama neste mundo; e, após a morte, alcançarás o céu.”
