अध्याय ९५: चित्राङ्गदस्य गन्धर्वेण सह संग्रामः तथा विचित्रवीर्यस्य राज्याभिषेकः

Chitrāṅgada’s duel with the Gandharva and Vicitravīrya’s consecration

तत्रावसन्‌ बहून्‌ कालान्‌ भारता दुर्गमाश्रिता: । तेषां निवसतां तत्र सहस्रं परिवत्सरान्‌,वहाँ उस दुर्गका आश्रय लेकर भरतवंशी क्षत्रिय बहुत वर्षोतक टिके रहे। उन सबको वहाँ रहते हुए एक हजार वर्ष बीत गये

tatrāvasan bahūn kālān bhāratā durgamāśritāḥ | teṣāṃ nivasatāṃ tatra sahasraṃ parivatsarān |

Disse Vaiśampāyana: Ali, os guerreiros de Bharata, tendo buscado refúgio numa fortaleza de difícil acesso, habitaram por longo tempo. E, enquanto ali permaneciam, passaram-se mil anos completos.
