देवतायतनानां च प्रेक्ष्य पूजां कृतां द्विजै: । ब्रह्मलोकस्थमात्मानं मेने स नृपसत्तम:,द्विजोंद्वारा की हुई देवालयोंकी पूजा-पद्धति देखकर नृपश्रेष्ठ दुष्यन्तने ऐसा समझा कि मैं ब्रह्मलोकमें आ पहुँचा हूँ
devatāyatanānāṁ ca prekṣya pūjāṁ kṛtāṁ dvijaiḥ | brahmalokastham ātmānaṁ mene sa nṛpasattamaḥ ||
Ao ver o culto nos templos dos deuses, devidamente realizado pelos duas-vezes-nascidos, o melhor dos reis (Duṣyanta) imaginou ter chegado a Brahmaloka—tão elevado e santificado lhe pareceu o cenário.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Properly performed worship and the presence of disciplined ritual specialists (dvijas) can transform a place into an experience of the divine; reverence and right conduct elevate perception and cultivate humility even in a king.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that King Duṣyanta, upon witnessing Brahmins conducting temple worship according to established rites, feels such sanctity and splendor that he believes he has reached Brahmaloka.
