ब्रह्मणो मानसा: पुत्रा विदिता: षण्महर्षय: । मरीचिरुत्यड्िरिसौ पुलस्त्य: पुलह: क्रतु:,ब्रह्माजीके मानस पुत्र छः महर्षि विख्यात हैं--मरीचि, अत्रि, अंगिरा, पुलस्त्य, पुलह और क्रतु
vaiśampāyana uvāca | brahmaṇo mānasāḥ putrā viditāḥ ṣaṇ-maharṣayaḥ | marīcir atrir aṅgirāḥ pulastyaḥ pulahaḥ kratuḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana disse: “Os seis grandes ṛṣis, conhecidos como os filhos nascidos da mente de Brahmā, são Marīci, Atri, Aṅgiras, Pulastya, Pulaha e Kratu.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse establishes sacred authority for later lineages by tracing them to Brahmā’s mind-born sages, implying that social and ritual orders (dharma) are rooted in primordial, revered origins.
