Tapovana-praveśaḥ — The King’s Entry into the Sacred Grove and Vision of the Āśrama

When destructive forces (Asuric tendencies) proliferate across all forms of life, the world’s balance is strained; the image of the earth unable to bear her burden frames a moral-cosmic warning that unchecked adharma leads to systemic collapse and necessitates corrective events.
Vaiśampāyana explains to the king that Asuras repeatedly incarnated in many animal species—including domesticated, wild, and carnivorous beings—until the earth became overcrowded and overburdened, setting the stage for later measures to restore balance.
