सत्यवत्युवाच विद्धि मां भगवन् कनन््यां सदा पितृवशानुगाम्,सत्यवतीने कहा--भगवन्! आपको मालूम होना चाहिये कि मैं सदा अपने पिताके अधीन रहनेवाली कुमारी कन्या हूँ
satyavaty uvāca—viddhi māṃ bhagavan kanyāṃ sadā pitṛvaśānugām |
Satyavatī disse: “Ó venerável senhor, sabei isto a meu respeito: sou uma donzela ainda não desposada, que sempre viveu em obediência à autoridade de meu pai.”
