Jaratkāru’s Marital Compact and Departure (जरत्कारु–जरत्कारुणी संवादः)
परं मन्त्रबलं यत् ते तद् दर्शय यतस्व च । न्यग्रोधमेनं धक्ष्यामि पश्यतस्ते द्विजोत्तम,द्विजश्रेष्ठ! तुम्हारे पास जो उत्तम मन्त्रका बल है, उसे दिखाओ और यत्न करो। लो, तुम्हारे देखते-देखते इस वटवृक्षको मैं भस्म कर देता हूँ
paraṁ mantrabalaṁ yat te tad darśaya yatasva ca | nyagrodham enaṁ dhakṣyāmi paśyatas te dvijottama ||
Takṣaka disse: “Mostra-me o poder supremo dos mantras que possuis — empenha-te e exibe-o. Diante dos teus próprios olhos, ó melhor entre os duas-vezes-nascidos, queimarei esta figueira-de-bengala até reduzi-la a cinzas.”
