अग्निभय-प्रसङ्गे मन्दपालस्य शोकः
Mandapāla’s Lament amid the Threat of Fire
ददानीत्येव वरुण: पावकं प्रत्यभाषत । तदद्भुतं महावीर्य यशः:कीर्तिविवर्धनम्
dadānīty eva varuṇaḥ pāvakaṃ pratyabhāṣata | tad adbhutaṃ mahāvīrya yaśaḥ-kīrti-vivardhanam ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: Varuṇa respondeu a Pāvaka: “Eu o darei.” Esse ato foi maravilhoso—uma demonstração de grande poder—e tornou-se causa do aumento da fama e do renome.
