अरुचिश्लाभवत्‌ तीव्रा तां न शक्नोम्यपोहितुम्‌ । तेजसा विप्रहीणो5स्मि बलेन च जगत्पते

Transliteration

aruciślābhavat tīvrā tāṁ na śaknomy apohitum | tejasā viprahīṇo 'smi balena ca jagatpate ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana disse: “Essa aflição feroz —como a perda do próprio fulgor— não consigo afastar. Estou privado do esplendor espiritual e também da força, ó Senhor do mundo.”
