धर्मराजे ह्ाृतिप्रीत्या पूर्णचन्द्र इवामले । प्रजानां रेमिरे तुल्यं नेत्राणि हृदयानि च,निर्मल एवं पूर्ण चन्द्रमाके समान आनन्दप्रद राजा युधिष्ठिरके प्रति अत्यन्त प्रीति होनेके कारण उन्हें देखकर प्रजाके नेत्र और मन एक साथ प्रफुल्लित हो उठते थे

dharmarāje hṛtiprītyā pūrṇacandra ivāmale |
prājānāṃ remire tulyaṃ netrāṇi hṛdayāni ca ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Por afeto sincero e profundo por Dharmarāja (Yudhiṣṭhira)—puro e aprazível como a lua cheia sem mancha—os súditos, ao contemplá-lo, alegravam-se ao mesmo tempo nos olhos e no coração. Sua simples presença trazia uma felicidade comum e espontânea, como se a própria retidão se tornasse visível num rei.
