उपसूष्टं तु तं कृष्णौ भ्राजमानं द्विजोत्तमम् । अर्जुनो वासुदेवश्च तूर्णमुत्पत्य तस्थतु:,वे तेजस्वी द्विजश्रेष्ठ जब निकट आ गये, तब अर्जुन और भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण तुरंत ही आसनसे उठकर खड़े हो गये
upasūṣṭaṃ tu taṃ kṛṣṇau bhrājamānaṃ dvijottamam | arjuno vāsudevaś ca tūṛṇam utpatya tasthatuḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: Quando aquele brâmane radiante, o melhor entre os dvija, se aproximou e foi anunciado como convinha, Arjuna e Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa) levantaram-se prontamente de seus assentos e permaneceram de pé em reverência.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct: honoring a worthy Brahmin/guest by rising promptly. Respect shown through bodily action (standing up) is presented as an ethical norm for the noble, reinforcing humility and reverence toward spiritual merit.
A radiant eminent Brahmin approaches and is formally announced. Arjuna and Kṛṣṇa immediately rise from their seats and stand, signaling respectful reception and readiness to serve or listen.
