Gaṅgādvāra-tīrtha, Ulūpī-saṃvāda, and Arjuna’s Dharma-Deliberation

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the dharmic ideal of protection and order: a well-guarded city—moats and strong walls—symbolizes responsible governance, where security and prosperity support righteous living.

Vāyu describes a magnificent, strongly fortified city, emphasizing its ocean-like moats and sky-reaching, moon-bright ramparts, using poetic comparisons (clouds, moon, and Bhogavatī of the nāgas) to convey its splendor and impregnability.
