Do mesmo modo Bhīṣma, filho de Śāntanu, juntamente com todos os Kauravas, por todos os lados pergunta pelo teu bem-estar, ó grandemente sábio.
विदुर उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic etiquette in speech and relationships: before discussing affairs, one should inquire about another’s welfare. Such concern, especially from elders like Bhīṣma and the wider Kuru family, reflects responsibility, respect, and social harmony.
Vidura conveys greetings and welfare-inquiries: Bhīṣma, identified as Śāntanu’s son, along with the Kauravas, asks after the addressee’s well-being from every side—signaling formal, courteous communication within the Kuru household context.
