तत आनाय्य तानू् सर्वान् मन्त्रिण: सुमहायशा: । धृतराष्ट्रो महाराज मन्त्रयामास वै तदा,महाराज! तदनन्तर महायशस्वी धृतराष्ट्रने भीष्म, द्रोण आदि सम्पूर्ण मन्त्रियोंको बुलवाकर उनके साथ उस समय विचार आरम्भ किया
tata ānāyya tānū sarvān mantriṇaḥ sumahāyaśāḥ | dhṛtarāṣṭro mahārāja mantrayāmāsa vai tadā ||
Então, tendo mandado chamar todos aqueles ministros de grande renome, o rei Dhṛtarāṣṭra, de vasta fama, começou naquele momento a deliberar com eles.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic ideal that a ruler should not act impulsively but should seek counsel and deliberate—balancing personal inclination, political necessity, and moral duty.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Dhṛtarāṣṭra summons his ministers and begins formal consultation, signaling an important decision-point in the unfolding events.
