विदुरस्य द्रुपदसमीपगमनम् — Vidura Conveys Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Message to Drupada
(दाक्षिणात्य अधिक पाठका १ श्लोक मिलाकर कुल १९ श्लोक हैं) अपन बछ। है २ >> अष्टनवर्त्याधेकशततमोब् ध्याय: कुन्तीका द्रौपदीको उपदेश और आशीर्वाद तथा भगवान् श्रीकृष्णका पाण्डवोंके लिये उपहार भेजना वैशम्पायन उवाच पाण्डवै: सह संयोगं गतस्य द्रुपदस्य ह | न बभूव भयं किंचिद् देवेभ्योडपि कथंचन,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! पाण्डवोंसे सम्बन्ध हो जानेपर राजा ट्रुपदको देवताओंसे भी किसी प्रकारका कुछ भी भय नहीं रहा, फिर मनुष्योंसे तो हो ही कैसे सकता था
Vaiśampāyana uvāca |
Pāṇḍavaiḥ saha saṃyogaṃ gatasya Drupadasya ha |
Na babhūva bhayaṃ kiñcid devebhyo 'pi kathaṃcana ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Ó Janamejaya, depois que o rei Drupada entrou em aliança e parentesco com os Pāṇḍavas, já não sentiu o menor temor de ninguém—nem mesmo dos deuses; como, então, poderia temer meros homens?”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical and political power of righteous alliance: association with strong, dharmic protectors removes fear and stabilizes a ruler’s position, implying that security is grounded in trustworthy relationships and legitimate bonds.
Vaiśampāyana tells King Janamejaya that after Drupada became connected with the Pāṇḍavas (through alliance and marriage ties), he felt completely secure—so secure that he did not fear even divine opposition, much less human threats.
