उच्चैःश्रवसः वर्णविपणः तथा नागशापः
Uccaiḥśravas Color-Wager and the Nāga Curse
एतदत्यद्भुतं दृष्टवा दानवानां समुत्थित: । अमृतार्थे महान् नादो ममेदमिति जल्पताम्,यह अत्यन्त अद्भुत दृश्य देखकर दानवोंमें अमृतके लिये कोलाहल मच गया। वे सब कहने लगे “यह मेरा है, यह मेरा है”
etad atyadbhutaṃ dṛṣṭvā dānavānāṃ samutthitaḥ | amṛtārthe mahān nādo mamedaṃ iti jalpatām ||
Disse Śaunaka: Ao verem aquela visão extraordinária, ergueu-se entre os Dānavas um grande alvoroço, movido pelo desejo do amṛta. E cada um clamava, possessivo: “É meu! É meu!”
