Cause of Kalmāṣapāda’s Niyoga under a Curse
तपसाड<<राध्य वरदं देवं गोपतिमी श्वरम् । लेभे संवरणो भार्या वसिष्ठस्यैव तेजसा,सबके अधीश्वर वरदायक देवशिरोमणि भगवान् सूर्यको तपस्याद्वारा प्रसन्न करके महाराज संवरणने वसिष्ठजीके ही तेजसे तपतीको पत्नीरूपमें प्राप्त किया
tapasā ārādhya varadaṁ devaṁ gopatīm īśvaram | lebhe saṁvaraṇo bhāryāṁ vasiṣṭhasyaiva tejasā ||
Tendo propiciado por austeridade o deus doador de bênçãos—o Senhor, protetor e soberano—o rei Saṃvaraṇa obteve Tapati como esposa, pelo próprio tejas (poder espiritual) de Vasiṣṭha.
