एवमुक््त्वा महाभाग: पाण्डवान् स पितामह: । पार्थानामन्त्र्य कुन्तीं च प्रातिष्ठत महातपा:,महान् सौभाग्यशाली और महातपस्वी पितामह व्यासजी पाण्डवोंसे ऐसा कहकर उन सबसे और कुन्तीसे विदा ले वहाँसे चल दिये
evam uktvā mahābhāgaḥ pāṇḍavān sa pitāmahaḥ | pārthān āmantya kuntīṃ ca prātiṣṭhata mahātapāḥ ||
Tendo assim falado, o ilustre ancião—Veda-Vyāsa, grande em austeridade—despediu-se dos Pāṇḍavas e também de Kuntī. Depois de dar adeus aos filhos de Pṛthā, partiu daquele lugar.
व्यास उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct in relationships: after giving guidance, a revered elder departs only after formally taking leave, underscoring respect, restraint, and proper social-ethical decorum.
Vyāsa, described as illustrious and austere, finishes speaking to the Pāṇḍavas, bids farewell to them and to Kuntī, and then leaves the place.
