देहमन्यं गतायास्ते यथोक्तं तद् भविष्यति । द्रुपदस्य कुले जज्ञे सा कन्या देवरूपिणी,“अतः दूसरा शरीर धारण करनेपर तुम्हें जैसा मैंने कहा है, वह वरदान प्राप्त होगा।' वही देवरूपिणी कन्या राजा ट्रुपदके कुलमें उत्पन्न हुई है
deham anyaṁ gatāyās te yathoktaṁ tad bhaviṣyati | drupadasya kule jajñe sā kanyā devarūpiṇī ||
Disse Vyāsa: “Quando assumires outro corpo, o que declarei se cumprirá de fato para ti como uma dádiva. Essa donzela de beleza divina nasceu na linhagem do rei Drupada.”
व्यास उवाच
The verse emphasizes the inevitability of a truthful sage’s word: a promised outcome (vara/boon) ripens through time and circumstance, even across a change of embodiment, underscoring destiny aligned with spoken truth.
Vyāsa confirms that the foretold boon will be fulfilled after the addressee takes another body, and he points to its concrete manifestation: a divinely beautiful maiden has now been born in King Drupada’s lineage.
