Saṃvaraṇa–Tapatī Vivāhaḥ (The Marriage of Saṃvaraṇa and Tapatī) — Mahābhārata, Ādi Parva 163
When confronted by violent aggression, steadfast courage and the duty to protect one’s own can require firm resistance; strength is shown not merely in attack but in resolute defense against adharma.
A powerful niśācara (rākṣasa) uproots and hurls various trees at Bhīma; Bhīma retaliates in kind, striking him with many trees as the fight intensifies.
