मया हत्सृज्य सुहृदः स्वधर्म स्वजनं तथा । वृतो<यं पुरुषव्याप्रस्तव पुत्र: पति: शुभे,'शुभे! मैंने अपने हितैषी सुहृदों, स्वजनों तथा स्वधर्मका परित्याग करके आपके पुत्र पुरुषसिंह भीमसेनको अपना पति चुना है
mayā hṛtsṛjya suhṛdaḥ svadharmaṃ svajanaṃ tathā | vṛto 'yaṃ puruṣavyāghras tava putraḥ patiḥ śubhe ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana disse: “Ó senhora auspiciosa, pondo de lado meus bem-querentes, meus parentes e até as obrigações do meu dharma, escolhi por esposo este tigre entre os homens—teu filho Bhīmasena.”
