Drupada’s Putrakāmeṣṭi: The Sacrificial Birth of Dhṛṣṭadyumna and Kṛṣṇā
महाजवं महाकायं॑ महामायमरिंदमम् । दीर्घधोणं महोरस्कं विकटोद्धद्धपिण्डिकम्,उसकी आवाज बड़ी भयानक थी। सुन्दर लाल-लाल ओठ, तीखी दाढ़ें, महान् बल, बहुत बड़ा धनुष, महान् पराक्रम, अत्यन्त धैर्य और साहस, बड़ी-बड़ी भुजाएँ, महान् वेग और विशाल शरीर--ये उसकी विशेषताएँ थीं। वह महामायावी राक्षस अपने शत्रुओंका दमन करनेवाला था। उसकी नाक बहुत बड़ी, छाती चौड़ी तथा पैरोंकी दोनों पिंडलियाँ टेढ़ी और ऊँची थीं

mahājavaṁ mahākāyaṁ mahāmāyam ariṁdamam |
dīrghadhoṇaṁ mahoraskaṁ vikaṭoddhaddhapiṇḍikam ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: Ele era de velocidade tremenda e corpo colossal, senhor de grande ilusão (māyā) e esmagador de inimigos. Tinha o nariz comprido, o peito largo, e as panturrilhas deformadas—erguidas e retorcidas—, sinal de um rākṣasa aterrador e antinatural. A descrição ressalta quão formidável e enganoso pode ser tal rākṣasa, e como o poder exterior, quando unido à māyā, se torna uma grave ameaça à ordem e à segurança.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights that sheer physical power combined with māyā (deceptive capability) can become especially dangerous; ethical discernment must look beyond appearances, since adharma may present itself with overwhelming force and frightening form.
