The daughter’s lament on lineage and protection

Adharma operates through secrecy and engineered helplessness, but dharmic vigilance—embodied here by Vidura’s foresight and warning—creates the possibility of protection. The verse highlights the ethical contrast between malicious planning and responsible counsel.
The speaker identifies a weapon-filled armoury connected with a large, strategically designed structure that offers no easy escape near its enclosing wall. This is presented as evidence of Duryodhana’s ominous intention, and it is inferred that Vidura had already understood the danger and therefore alerted the intended victims.
