The daughter’s lament on lineage and protection
इदं शरणमाग्नेयं मदर्थमिति मे मति: । पुरोचनेन विहितं धार्तराष्ट्स्य शासनात्,“यह घर आग भड़कानेवाले पदार्थोंसे बना है। हमारा विश्वास है कि दुर्योधनके आदेशसे पुरोचनने हमारे लिये ही इसे बनवाया है
idam śaraṇam āgneyam madartham iti me matiḥ | purocanena vihitaṃ dhārtarāṣṭrasya śāsanāt |
Vaiśampāyana disse: “A meu ver, este refúgio foi feito de materiais que atiçam o fogo, destinado à nossa destruição. Creio que Purocana o construiu especificamente para nós, sob as ordens do filho de Dhṛtarāṣṭra (Duryodhana).”
