ततो हलहलाशब्द आसीत् पाञ्चालके बले । जिघृक्षति महासिंहो गजानामिव यूथपम्,और जैसे महासिंह हाथियोंके यूथपतिको पकड़नेकी चेष्टा करता है, उसी प्रकार अर्जुन द्रपदको पकड़ना ही चाहते थे कि पांचालोंकी सेनामें हाहाकार मच गया

Disse Vaiśampāyana: Então ergueu-se no exército dos Pāñcāla um grande brado de alarme. Assim como um leão imenso se esforça por agarrar o chefe de uma manada de elefantes, Arjuna estava decidido a capturar Drupada; e, naquele mesmo instante, o tumulto espalhou-se pelas fileiras pāñcālas.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights decisive, goal-focused action in conflict: targeting the key leader can shift the morale and cohesion of an entire force, while also illustrating the epic’s kṣatriya ideal of courage and effectiveness in battle.
Arjuna presses forward to seize King Drupada; as his capture seems imminent, panic and loud commotion break out across the Pāñcāla army, compared to elephants reacting when a lion attacks their leader.
