Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | gavye viṣāṇakoṣe ca cale rajjv-avalambini | nicakhāna mahāvīryaḥ sāyakān ekaviṃśatim ||

Translation

Disse Vaiśampāyana: No chifre perfurado preparado para a prova—pendurado por uma corda e oscilando—Arjuna, de grande vigor, cravou vinte e uma flechas em sucessão no orifício do chifre. O feito revela concentração disciplinada e domínio da técnica mesmo sob instabilidade—marca da excelência do kṣatriya quando dirigida a fins justos.
