Vāraṇāvata-vivāsana-nīti: Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Duryodhana’s Policy Dialogue
जामदग्न्यं महात्मानं भारद्वाजोडब्रवीदिदम् | भरद्वाजात् समुत्पन्नं तथा त्वं मामयोनिजम्
jāmadagnyaṁ mahātmānaṁ bhāradvājo 'bravīd idam | bharadvājāt samutpannaṁ tathā tvaṁ mām ayonijam ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: Bhāradvāja dirigiu-se ao magnânimo Jāmadagnya e falou: “Tu nasceste de Bhāradvāja; e, do mesmo modo, eu não sou nascido de ventre.” A afirmação ressalta a santidade da linhagem espiritual e do nascimento extraordinário, firmando a autoridade não apenas na biologia, mas no poder ascético e na transmissão do dharma.
