आह्वानमन्त्रप्रयोगः — Kuntī’s Invocations and the Birth-Portents of the Pāṇḍavas
ततः सत्यवती भीष्मं कौसल्यां च यशस्विनीम् | शुभै: पाण्डुजितैररथ्थैस्तोषयामास भारत,भारत! तत्पश्चात् सत्यवतीने पाण्डुद्वारा जीतकर लाये हुए शुभ धनके द्वारा भीष्म और यशस्विनी कौसल्याको भी संतुष्ट किया। माता कौसल्याने अनुपम तेजस्वी नरश्रेष्ठ पाण्डुकी उसी प्रकार हृदयसे लगाकर उनका अभिनन्दन किया, जैसे शची अपने पुत्र जयन्तका अभिनन्दन करती हैं
tataḥ satyavatī bhīṣmaṃ kausalyāṃ ca yaśasvinīm | śubhaiḥ pāṇḍujitair arthaistōṣayāmāsa bhārata ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Então Satyavatī agradou a Bhīṣma e à ilustre Kausalyā com a riqueza auspiciosa que Pāṇḍu conquistara. O episódio realça a ética cortesã: honrar os mais velhos e sustentar a harmonia da casa real por meio de ganhos legítimos e de uma generosidade respeitosa.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Prosperity and success should be used to honor elders and maintain concord in the family and polity; rightful gains become ethically meaningful when shared with respect and gratitude.
After Pāṇḍu’s victories and acquisition of wealth, Satyavatī distributes those auspicious gains to gratify Bhīṣma and the renowned Kausalyā, reinforcing bonds and proper courtly conduct within the Kuru household.
