Pāśupata-vrata Māhātmya: Dvādaśa-Liṅga Mahāvrata, Month-wise Dravya, and Pūjā-krama

विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां भोगार्थी भोगमाप्नुयात् द्रव्यार्थी च निधिं पश्येद् आयुःकामश् चिरायुषम्

vidyārthī labhate vidyāṃ bhogārthī bhogamāpnuyāt dravyārthī ca nidhiṃ paśyed āyuḥkāmaś cirāyuṣam

O buscador de conhecimento alcança o conhecimento; o buscador de deleite obtém o deleite. O buscador de riqueza contempla um tesouro, e quem anseia por longevidade recebe longa vida—tais são os frutos concedidos pela bhakti ao Senhor (Pati) revelado como o Liṅga, quando o paśu (a alma atada) se volta do pāśa (o laço) para a graça de Śiva.
