शिवार्चनविधिः — देवतानां पाशुपतव्रतप्राप्तिः तथा पशुपाशविमोक्षणम् (अध्याय ८०)

क्वचिदशेषसुरद्रुमसंकुलं कुरबकैः प्रियकैस्तिलकैस् तथा बहुकदम्बतमाललतावृतं गिरिवरं शिखरैर्विविधैस् तथा

kvacidaśeṣasuradrumasaṃkulaṃ kurabakaiḥ priyakaistilakais tathā bahukadambatamālalatāvṛtaṃ girivaraṃ śikharairvividhais tathā

Em alguns lugares, aquela montanha excelente estava densamente repleta de toda espécie de árvore divina, adornada com flores de kurabaka, priyaka e tilaka. Em outros, via-se envolta por muitas trepadeiras de kadamba e tamāla, erguendo-se em picos de formas variadas. Tal paisagem consagrada é digna da presença de Śiva—o Pati—onde as almas paśu encontram serenidade e os laços paśa começam a afrouxar pela visão sagrada e pela lembrança devocional.
