Suta Goswami (narrating Shiva-puja krama to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It frames Linga-puja as mantra-rooted worship: the practitioner honors the sacred sounds from Oṁ to namaḥ, then offers upacāras (fragrance, flowers) in a strict sequence, making the rite both sonic (śabda) and devotional (bhakti).
Śiva is approached as Pati, accessible through ordered mantra (Praṇava and namaḥ) and reverent offerings—implying that śabda-brahman and ritual purity become supports for realizing Śiva-tattva beyond bondage (pāśa).
A puja-krama emphasizing mantra-nyāsa/varna-puja and sequential upacāra offerings (gandha, puṣpa, etc.), aligning disciplined practice with Pāśupata-style purification and focused devotion.
