विस्तीर्णं मण्डलं कृत्वा तस्योर्ध्वं चरते शशी नक्षत्रमण्डलं कृत्स्नं सोमादूर्ध्वं प्रसर्पति

Transliteration

vistīrṇaṃ maṇḍalaṃ kṛtvā tasyordhvaṃ carate śaśī nakṣatramaṇḍalaṃ kṛtsnaṃ somādūrdhvaṃ prasarpati

Translation

Tendo formado um amplo círculo (de seu curso), a Lua (Śaśī) move-se acima dele; e toda a esfera das constelações se estende e se expande acima de Soma. Assim, os céus ordenados avançam em camadas medidas, revelando o Senhor (Pati) como regulador do ritmo cósmico, enquanto as almas vinculadas (paśu) percebem seu governo pelo tempo e pelo movimento celeste.
