Adhyaya 49: जम्बूद्वीप-मेर्वादि-वर्षपर्वत-वन-सरः-रुद्रक्षेत्र-वर्णनम्

आयामतश्चतुस्त्रिंशत् सहस्राणि प्रकीर्तितः तस्य प्रतीच्यां विज्ञेयः पर्वतो गन्धमादनः

āyāmataścatustriṃśat sahasrāṇi prakīrtitaḥ tasya pratīcyāṃ vijñeyaḥ parvato gandhamādanaḥ

Seu comprimento é proclamado como trinta e quatro mil yojanas. Ao seu lado ocidental deve-se conhecer a montanha chamada Gandhamādana.
