prasīda dehi me sarvaṃ sarvātmatvaṃ tava prabho tadātha labdhvā bhagavān bhavātsarvātmatāṃ kṣaṇāt
Suta Goswami (narrating a devotee’s supplication within the Linga Purana’s Shaiva teaching context)
It frames Linga worship as a grace-centered path: the devotee seeks not merely boons, but Shiva’s sarvātmatva—realizing the Linga as the all-pervading Pati who pervades all beings.
Shiva is invoked as Sarvātman (the Self of all) and Prabhu (sovereign Lord). Liberation is depicted as instantaneous establishment in all-pervading awareness, made possible by Shiva’s anugraha.
The verse highlights the inner aim of Pashupata-oriented sadhana—seeking Shiva’s grace for direct realization (jñāna) rather than external results—consistent with meditative Linga-upasana and surrender (śaraṇāgati).
