Quando Viṣṇu, o deus dos deuses, lhe fez o pedido, Dadhīci respondeu: “Conheço plenamente tudo o que desejas. E também não te temo.”
Dadhichi
It highlights the inner qualification for Shiva-oriented worship—abhaya (fearlessness) born of tapas and truthfulness—showing that devotion is not merely ritual but a purified state of the pashu (soul) moving toward the Pati (Lord).
Indirectly, it points to Shiva-tattva as the ground of fearlessness: when the soul is steady in dharma and detachment, it becomes unmoved by external power, reflecting the Shaiva ideal that bondage (pāśa) is overcome through inner clarity rather than force.
Tapas-supported vairāgya leading to abhaya is emphasized—an inner discipline aligned with Pāśupata Yoga where the pashu weakens pāśa (bondage) by steadfastness, courage, and surrender to the highest aim.
