हीनकल्पं न कुर्वीत सति द्रव्ये फलप्रदम् / चण्डालो जायते यज्ञकरणाच्छूद्रभिक्षितात

Transliteration

hīnakalpaṃ na kurvīta sati dravye phalapradam / caṇḍālo jāyate yajñakaraṇācchūdrabhikṣitāta

Translation

Tendo recursos, não se deve realizar o rito de modo deficiente ou inferior, pois somente o sacrifício bem executado concede o seu fruto. Se o yajña for feito com alimento obtido de esmola de um Śūdra, diz-se que o oficiante nasce como caṇḍāla, um pária.
