Vīrabhadra Destroys Dakṣa’s Sacrifice
Dakṣa-yajña-vināśa
क्रुद्ध: सुदष्टौष्ठपुट: स धूर्जटि- र्जटां तडिद्वह्निसटोग्ररोचिषम् । उत्कृत्य रुद्र: सहसोत्थितो हसन् गम्भीरनादो विससर्ज तां भुवि ॥ २ ॥
kruddhaḥ sudaṣṭauṣṭha-puṭaḥ sa dhūr-jaṭir jaṭāṁ taḍid-vahni-saṭogra-rociṣam utkṛtya rudraḥ sahasotthito hasan gambhīra-nādo visasarja tāṁ bhuvi
Tomado de ira, o Senhor Śiva, Dhūrjaṭi de longas tranças, cerrou os lábios entre os dentes e arrancou de sua cabeça uma mecha de cabelo, que ardia com brilho terrível como relâmpago e fogo. Levantou-se de pronto, rindo como um possesso, e, com um bramido profundo, lançou-a ao chão.
