अपूर्वस्य संधेः सानुबन्धैः सामादिभिः पर्येषणं समहीनज्यायसां च यथाबलमवस्थापनमकृतचिकीर्षा ॥ कZ_०७.६.१९ ॥

Transliteration

apūrvasya saṃdheḥ sānubandhaiḥ sāmādibhiḥ paryeṣaṇaṃ samahīnajyāyasāṃ ca yathābalam avasthāpanam akṛtacikīrṣā

Translation

«Política ainda não empreendida»: sondar (a possibilidade de) um novo tratado usando os quatro upāyas (conciliação, dádivas, dissensão, força) juntamente com as suas medidas subsidiárias; e, perante poderes iguais, inferiores ou superiores, estabilizá-los em posições compatíveis com a própria força.
