लब्धलाभापगमने यस्यामित्रो लाभेन शक्त्या हीनः स पार्ष्णिग्राहोऽतिसंधत्ते यस्य वा यातव्यः शत्रोर्विग्रहापकारसमर्थः स्यात् ॥ कZ_०७.१३.२१ ॥

Transliteration

labdhalābhāpagamane yasyāmitro lābhena śaktyā hīnaḥ sa pārṣṇigrāho 'tisaṃdhatte yasya vā yātavyaḥ śatror vigrahāpakārasamarthaḥ syāt

Translation

Quando os ganhos já obtidos correm o risco de se perder, o inimigo de retaguarda (pārṣṇigrāha) “excede-se/ultrapassa por artifício” (atisaṃdhi) contra um rei cujo inimigo ficou enfraquecido em recursos e poder devido a esses ganhos; do mesmo modo, ele se excede quando o alvo que o rei pretende atacar (yātavya) é capaz de prejudicar esse alvo por meio de guerra e atos hostis.
