Transliteration

śarmeti brāhmaṇasyoktaṃ varmeti kṣatrasaṃśrayam guptadāsātmakaṃ nāma praśastaṃ vaiśyaśūdrayoḥ

Translation

‘ਸ਼ਰਮਨ’ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ; ‘ਵਰਮਨ’ ਖ਼ਤਰੀਅ ਦਰਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ‘ਗੁਪਤ’ ਤੇ ‘ਦਾਸ’ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ ਵੈਸ਼੍ਯ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੂਦਰ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਿਤ ਹਨ।
