nidāghānte samudrabhūto nirjanācarito 'dbhutaḥ ghanāndhakāritāśo vai prāvṛṭkāloṣatirāgavān

ਗ੍ਰੀਸ਼ਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਤੇ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਵਰਖਾ-ਰੁੱਤ ਉੱਭਰੀ, ਜੋ ਸੁੰਨੇ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਜਾਪਦੀ ਸੀ; ਘਣੇ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਤੀਬਰ ਸੀ।
