विन्ध्यगुहाविचयः — Searching the Vindhya Caves and the Cursed Forest

स तु देशो दुरन्वेषो गुहागहनवान्महान्।निर्जलं निर्जनं शून्यं गहनं रोमहर्षणम्।।।।
sa tu deśo duranveṣo guhā-gahanavān mahān |
nirjalaṃ nirjanaṃ śūnyaṃ gahanaṃ romaharṣaṇam ||
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜਣ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਕਰ ਸੀ—ਗਹਿਰੀਆਂ ਗੁਫ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਘਣੇ ਝਾੜ-ਝੰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ; ਨਿਰਜਲ, ਨਿਰਜਨ, ਸੁੰਨ, ਅਤਿ ਗਹਿਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਮਾਂਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸੀ।
