Khara’s Wrath and Śūrpaṇakhā’s Report
ततस्तु ते तं समुदग्रतेजसं तथापिऽतीक्ष्णप्रदरा निशाचराः।न शेकुरेनं सहसा प्रमर्दितुं वनद्विपा दीप्तमिवाग्निमुत्थितम्।।।।
tatas tu te taṃ samudagratejasaṃ tathāpi tīkṣṇapradarā niśācarāḥ | na śekur enaṃ sahasā pramardituṃ vanadvipā dīptam ivāgnim utthitam ||
ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਤਿੱਖੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਤੇਜਸਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾ ਨਾ ਸਕੇ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਹਾਥੀ ਭੜਕਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ।
