दशमः सर्गः — Rama’s Vow to Protect the Sages of Daṇḍaka
Dharma of Refuge
सदृशं चानुरूपं च कुलस्य तव चात्मनः।सधर्मचारिणी मे त्वं प्राणेभ्योऽपि गरीयसी।।।।
sadṛśaṁ cānurūpaṁ ca kulasya tava cātmanaḥ |
sadharmacāriṇī me tvaṁ prāṇebhyo 'pi garīyasī ||
ਤੇਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੁਲ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਤੇ ਯੋਗ ਹਨ। ਧਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹਧਰਮਚਾਰিণੀ ਹੈਂ; ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਹੈਂ।
But permit me, Devi, you have already stated, when a kshatriya holds a bow there will be no cry of distress. (it means you approve of my holding a bow)
