इत्युक्तो देवराजस्तु पार्थभीष्मसमागमम् | पूजयामास दिव्येन पुष्पवर्षेण भारत,जनमेजय! चित्रसेनके ऐसा कहनेपर देवराज इन्द्रने दिव्य पुष्पोंकी वर्षा करके अर्जुन और भीष्मके इस अदभुत संग्रामके प्रति आदर प्रकट किया
ity ukto devarājas tu pārtha-bhīṣma-samāgamam | pūjayāmāsa divyena puṣpa-varṣeṇa bhārata janamejaya ||
ਚਿਤ੍ਰਸੇਨ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਿਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੇਵਰਾਜ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਨੇ ਪਾਰਥ ਅਤੇ ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਸਮਾਗਮ-ਯੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਦਿਵ੍ਯ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ—ਅਸਾਧਾਰਣ ਸ਼ੌਰ੍ਯ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ-ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸਮਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਆਦਰ ਵਜੋਂ।
