एवं प्रववृते युद्ध भारद्वाजकिरीटिनो: । सम॑ विमुञज्चतो संख्ये विशिखान्‌ दीप्ततेजस:

Transliteration

evaṁ pravavṛte yuddhe bhāradvāja-kirīṭinoḥ | samaṁ vimuñcato saṅkhye viśikhān dīpta-tejasaḥ ||

Translation

ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ-ਨੰਦਨ ਦ੍ਰੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰੀਟਧਾਰੀ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਯੁੱਧ ਛਿੜ ਗਿਆ। ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸਮਾਨ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਦਿਪਤ ਤੇਜ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੀਰ ਇਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਛੱਡਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
