युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya
ईप्सिताल्लँभते कामानुपवासान्न संशय: । ततस्तु वामनं गत्वा सर्वपापप्रमोचनम्
īpsitāl labhate kāmān upavāsān na saṁśayaḥ | tataḥ tu vāmanaṁ gatvā sarvapāpapramocanam ||
ਘੂਲਸਤ੍ਯ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਉਪਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਇੱਛਿਤ ਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਨਹੀਂ। ਫਿਰ ਸਭ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਾਮਨ-ਤੀਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੀ ਤੀਰਥ-ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
