युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya
तत्र कोटिस्तु तीर्थानां विश्रुता भरतर्षभ । कूर्मरूपेण राजेन्द्र हासुरेण दुरात्मना
tatra koṭis tu tīrthānāṁ viśrutā bharatarṣabha | kūrmarūpeṇa rājendra hāsureṇa durātmanā | puṇḍarīkam avāpnoti viṣṇulokaṁ ca gacchati ||
ਹੇ ਭਰਤਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ! ਉੱਥੇ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ‘ਤੀਰਥ-ਕੋਟੀ’ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਰਾਜੇਂਦ੍ਰ! ਹਾਸੁਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਦੁਰਾਤਮਾ ਅਸੁਰ ਕੱਛੂਏ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਨ ਕਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਤਦ ਸਰਵਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਉੱਧਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੁੜ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਹੇ ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ! ਉਸ ਤੀਰਥ-ਕੋਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ; ਐਸਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੁੰਡਰੀਕ ਯੱਗ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
