ब्रह्मादिभि: सुरै राजन्नषिभिश्न तपोधनै: । विज्ञप्तो वै महादेव ऋषेरथ नराधिप,राजन! नरेश्वर! उस समय ब्रह्मा आदि देवता तथा तपोधन महर्षिगण--सबने मंकणक मुनिके विषयमें महादेवजीसे निवेदन किया--
brahmādibhiḥ surai rājann ṛṣibhiś ca tapodhanaiḥ | vijñapto vai mahādeva ṛṣer atha narādhipa ||
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ, ਹੇ ਨਰਾਧਿਪ! ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਆਦਿ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਪੋਧਨ ਮਹਰਿਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਾਦੇਵ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਿਧੀਪੂਰਵਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
