व्यतिक्रमं मे भगवन् क्षन्तुमहसि शंकर । भगवन् दर्शनाकाडुक्षी प्राप्तोडस्मीम॑ं महागिरिम्,कल्याणकारी भगवन्! मेरा अपराध क्षमा कीजिये। भगवन्! मैं आपहीके दर्शनकी इच्छा लेकर इस महान् पर्वतपर आया हूँ
vyatikramaṁ me bhagavan kṣantum arhasi śaṅkara | bhagavan darśanākāṅkṣī prāpto 'smi imaṁ mahāgirim ||
ਅਰਜੁਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ੰਕਰ, ਮੇਰੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਿਮਾ ਕਰੋ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿਵ੍ਯ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਹਾੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
